About Mehreen

I'm Mehreen and I joined Dr. Interested because I was the student we are trying to reach. Just like many others, I was lost in the subjects I chose, pressured to achieve perfect grades, and convinced that being a doctor was all there was to healthcare. It wasn't until Grade 11 that I realized how much else exists: passion projects, writing, community work and countless other possibilities that mean something way more than a mere report card. Now, as an Events Coordinator, I pour that experience into everything I help plan. Because I want to save myself and others years of confusion. Outside of this, I volunteer at Synthify, A STEM magazine where we break down complex topics into something that anyone can understand. I also write pieces of fiction and poetry for fun. As for what I would like to contribute? It's a space where everyone knows that they can start building their own path, even if they are late.
